Redtop Bait is a completely dehydrated powder fly attractant to be used in the redtop cup fly trap flycatcher.

Flies can be a real nuisance at any time of year, but they are particularly so during the summer months when they invade our homes, farms, smallholding, and stables. The Red Top Fly Trap protects these areas by attracting flies into the bag, and once they’re in, they can’t get back out.

The trap is hung outdoors in your garden. Please place a maximum of 15 meters from your home in a sunny position. Whilst on farms, they can be placed around your livestock and poultry sheds or stables.

Red Top Fly Trap needs some sunlight and warmth to work, but once set up; the garden fly trap will begin working within a few days and last up to 12 weeks. They use a non-poisonous, ecologically-safe protein lure to attract the flies via a turret into a three-liter garden fly trap.

Redtop Flycatcher Cup Trap is an outdoor hanging attract-and-trap system comprised of the management of a wide variety of fly pests. These traps are well suited to be used as part of an IPM program for trapping flies.

Works well on House flies, Sciarid flies, Fruit flies, and Horse flies. Suitable for farms, dairies, homes, stables, ranches, and food processing areas.

Redtop Cup Trap Flybait Tips

1, you must have a place to fly, if there are no flies, the effect may not be so good

2, do not add so much water, generally add a little better

3, try to have the sun to the sun so that the attractant can fully function

4, the height should not exceed 1 meter, because the flying height of the fly will not be very high

5, pure natural bait, relying on fermentation (it is an environmentally friendly bait, not a chemical ingredient)

6, the use of the previous week to catch flies will be slower

How to Use Redtop Bait

• Remove the trap from the plastic bag, and unfold the bag on the trap.
• Push the mesh cone down and make sure the apex is open.
• Add 1 sachet of attractant
• Add 1 LITRE OF LUKE WARM WATER
• Replace the red top by clipping the lugs into the 4 small holes in the dish cover.
• Around 85 percent of the flies caught in the trap are female. By controlling the female, the entire fly population in the area can be brought under control. Once caught the flies cannot escape and the flies cannot build immunity to the bait.
• Red Top Fly Catchers are ideal for both home and commercial use. They should be situated a maximum of 15 meters away from your home, farm building, or business premises so as to draw the flies away from the premises and into the trap.

Where to Hang Red Top Fly Trap

• Hang the trap OUTDOORS ONLY in a suitable position with sufficient sunlight(No closer than 5 meters from the living environments)E.g. Trees, carport, verandas, shed, amongst hanging flower baskets
• Do not place near manure heaps, compost heaps, or chicken runs
• Place In direct sunlight for temperate climates, in semi-shade for very hot climates e.g. NT, NTH QLD, NTH WA
• Top up the water level once a week and squeeze the bag lightly to keep the attractant active
• The attractant activates in two to four days (pending temp.)
• For sand flies hang a trap about 1 meter off the ground
• Make sure animals and children can’t reach the trap
• The more flies that gather in the trap the odors will increase
• Disclaimer the trap will not catch every species of flies
• The life of the attractant lasts for 4-6 weeks
