Introduction

Pyramid 70WP is a highly effective contact, protective and systemic fungicide containing Fosetyl aluminum 300g/l and Mancozeb 400g/l for control and management of a wide range of fungal diseases in flowers and vegetable crops. The two active ingredients belong to Ethyl phosphonate and Carbamate chemical groups respectively and have unique modes of action over other products. The combination is highly effective for foliar spray and can also be used as pre-treatment for seeds and seedlings before planting.

How does Pyramid 700WP work?

Mancozeb belongs to the Dithocarbamate group of fungicides and to the class of compounds known as Ethylene bisdithiocarbamates (EHBDCs). Mancozeb is a protective residual fungicide, which provides a protective film over the plant surfaces inhibiting the germination of the spores, therefore offering effective control for fungal diseases. Fosetyl aluminum 300g/l is a multi-site systemic fungicide that acts by inhibiting spore germination and penetrations into the plants, and by blocking mycelia growth and spore production. It also enhances the plant’s own natural defense systems against diseases. Fosetyl aluminum is rapidly absorbed through the plant’s leaves or roots, with translocation both up and down inside the plant.

Pyramid 700WP is a Wettable Powder containing Fosetyl aluminum 300g/l and Mancozeb 400g/l in a special formulation for control of fungal diseases in vegetables and flowers.

Pyramid 700WP has protective and curative activities and can be used before and after disease onset. The product is used for control of downy mildew on roses, Early and late blight on tomatoes; Anthracnose, Angular leafspot, and Botrytis on French beans.

Re-entry Interval (REI)

Pyramid 700WP is less-hazardous, therefore, re-entry is recommended once spray deposits have dried or unless protective clothing is worn.
Application timing
For prophylactic control, apply Pyramid 700WP before disease onset and for curative apply at disease onset; however, we recommend proper scouting to ensure timely application.

Foliar application

Application timing

• The product is most effective when used as a preventive treatment
• Apply Pyramid when plants display early disease symptoms, or when conditions favour disease development
• Apply to plants and foliage that are actively growing for good uptake.
• Avoid applying before leaves have emerged and after senescence (when the crop is aging)

Compatibility and mixing instructions

• Pyramid 700WP is compatible with the most commonly used pesticides.
• DON’T mix Pyramid with foliar fertilizers
• DON’T mix with copper-based products, as it may cause scorch or severe plant injury
• DON’T us the product when it is caked or lumpy

In case of ingestion
Do NOT induce vomiting. Rinse mouth and drink plenty of water. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
Administer charcoal slurry, aqueous, or mixed with a saline cathartic.

Precautions and product handling

✓ Wear full protective clothing when using the product,
✓ DON’T dispose of the product in waterways and where there is a possibility of pollution
✓ Keep out of reach of children, animals, and uninformed persons
✓ If left exposed to the air, the aluminum will absorb moisture over time and become unusable (caked or lumpy), therefore, keep the product in a well ventilated and dry place.
